Just returned from Houston this weekend, I went down to visit family, my sister and her family. While I was there I got to help celebrate my little grandniece’s 1st birthday.
Her parents gave her a great party, they created a big play area in the living room that kept them corraled safely, whlle, they played on soft slides, a ball pool, block stacks, they all just had a great time.
While there we ate at 2 great restaurants. The first one was Babin’s Seafood House. They have wonderful Salmon. They have all types of seafood, Excellent customer service and the food was 5 star.
The 2nd restaurant we went to was Floyd’s Cajun Seafood. This place is nice and casual and they have the unusual. Service is great. I even tried the alligator there. My nephew ordered 2 doz. oysters on the half shell, and alligator bites for appetizers. I did try the alligator and it was very good with the tartar sauce they served with it. They batter fried it like popcorn chicken or shrimp. After that adventure I just ordered a chicken fried steak which was great! Cajun flavoring in the batter for the chicken fried steak and white gravy was excellent. I just couldn’t eat it all, it was way too big! Everything’s bigger in Texas!
If you have a chance to be in Katy Texas, I would highly recommend both of these restaurants. You can’t go wrong.
