Are you planning to fly domestically in 2020? Skiing in Vermont? Hiking in Yellowstone? Before your trip, check your driver’s license — without a star you won’t get far! Make sure you are #REALIDready before October 1, 2020. Reach out to me for more information.
Starting October 1, 2020, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) will require that you have an ID Ready Driver’s License. What is that you ask?
Well many of you may already have it. It is a star symbol in the upper right hand corner of your driver’s license. I received mine in November when it was time to renew my license. So, I am ID Ready! If your license is not ready to renew before Oct. 1, 2020 then you need to go to your driver’s license dept. and get an ID Ready license.
There are five different symbols, 1 of which needs to be in the upper right hand corner of your driver’s license or State issued ID. The five symbols are: Gold star, Black Star, Star cut-out in gold circle, Star cut-out in black circle, and a star cut-out in Gold Grizzly Bear. It depends what state you are from as to what symbol you will have.
Colorado has the Cut-out star in a Black circle.
I hope this helps you get ready for travel after October 1, 2020.
