In September of 2016 I had the opportunity to take a FAM trip to Club Med Punta Cana. Punta Cana is a beautiful island. Punta Cana occupies the eastern 2/3 of the island of Hispaniola, and Haiti occupies the western 1/3.
The people there are warm and welcoming.
The native language there is Spanish, and the currency is the Dominican Peso. American currency is widely accepted there also.
The Dominican Republic has many different landscapes consisting of many different environments that include beaches, tropical rainforests, deserts, alpine ranges and even mangrove swamps. This allows for many opportunities for travelers to embark on excursions of all kinds including, agro-tourism; excursions where you can visit a tobacco farm, a cocoa farm or coffee farm situated in the fertile interior of the island. The miles of coastline also allow travelers to experience any kind of water sports they can imagine, including scuba diving, fishing, sailing and surfing which are ideal in the crystal blue waters.
If a more relaxing vacation is what you’re looking for then the miles of coastline will allow you to visit many beaches. Another popular activity in the Dominican Republic is golf. There are many world-class golf courses there with the best views of the tropical island. There are 6 golf courses on the coast and 20 inland.
My daughter and I were treated very well at the Club Med Punta Cana. It is an all-inclusive resort, which means our food, lodging and drinks were all included. Our transportation to and from the airport was included as well. We were in the all-adult zen part of the resort. The accomodations were wonderful. All non-motorized water sports were included as well.
The beach was only about 100 yards from our room, and the adult only pool was right out our front door. If you were thirsty, there was a bar right there by the pool.
There was entertainment nightly and the food was great!
Currently Punta Cana is welcoming back their guests. Currently you do not have to show a negative Covid 19 test to enter, however, they are randomly testing 3- 15% of the visitors over the age of 5. Passengers are being tested by temperature checks, passengers that test positive will require a 14-day quarantine.
• Passengers will be required to fill out and submit a Traveler’s Health Affidavit, which will be provided by the airline or by Dominican authorities upon arrival.
• Here is a video of what to expect at airport: https://youtu.be/oFta9w8bgF8
Many resorts are providing departure testing at the resort free of charge to guests. Check with your resort.

Sounds like a great place to visit. We aren’t yet traveling out of the U.S. because hubby can’t miss work if something were to happen so we are staying stateside for now. I’ll put the DR on our ‘to do’ list.😉
This post presents clear idea for the new people of blogging,
that actually how to do running a blog.
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added
I get three e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
Many thanks!
Not sure why you’re getting notifications when there is a new comment on my blog.
