Saturday was a great day for watching our granddaughter play soccer and go for hamburgers. She plays in Colorado Springs, so off we went, the weather was perfect! They were playing early evening, so we decided to go eat first.
CRAVE BURGERS
We first heard about Crave Burgers from out daughter who was telling us about a doughnut burger. It was a hamburger with all the fixings using a glazed doughnut for the bun. So the first time we ate at Crave Burgers we had the doughnut burger.
It was so good!
Today however, we decided to try something else. My husband had the Holy Guacamole and I had the Plain Jane. Again they were so good.
When I started doing a little more research on the Crave Burgers I found that it had been started by Jeff and Jeryn Richard. They were high school sweethearts who met at Cherry Creek High School once upon a time. Jeff Ryan went on to culinary school at Culinary Institute of America and worked with Emeril Lagasse at the Commanders Palace in New Orleans. I love Emeril, I used to watch him all the time on his TV show.
Later Jeff and Jeryn returned to Colorado where they owned The Old Stone Church Restaurant in Castle Rock. Later, it was their two sons that had the idea of offering outrageous and delicious hamburgers to Castle Rock. Voila! They opeded the original Crave Burgers in 2010 in Castle Rock.

Lucky for us they have since opened Crave Burgers in Colorado Springs, ( which is where we went, and one in Highlands Ranch. They use Colorado Beef and they are just so good!

So now we were full, so it was off to the soccer game! They did good, they tied 1-1.
