Hi Everyone!
Yes I am working from home just like I’m supposed too! And I hope you all are too. I do want to give a shout out to all of our first responders, doctors, nurses, all hospital personnel, banking, grocery clerks, dentists, law enforcement officers, truckers, just to name a few, they are faithfully going to their place of employment to help keep us well and keep the country functioning.
I really hope this blog post finds everyone well and healthy. I know this is a trying time especially if you had plans for Spring Break! I know families that had their cruises cancelled, plans to go to Disneyland or Disney World cancelled, but if we all work together and do what we’re asked and staystay home like we’re asked, hopefully we can end this as soon as possible. Please continue to stay home and maintain your Social Distancing!
So how we can we make the best of things? Well how about an agenda for a virtual vacation?
- Day 1: Disneyland
- Day 2: Yosemite National Park
- Day 3: Secret Annex (Anne Frank’s Hiding Place)
- Day 4: Disney World
- Day 5: Smithsonian Natural Museum of Natural History
DAY 1 LET’S GO TO DISNEYLAND
Where should we go first? Well how about Thunder Mountain? Hurry, there’s hardly anyone in line! Come on “All aboard!” Here we go are you all buckled in? Click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVP82m5KdDY
That was fun! Now let’s check out Splash Mountain! You are going to have a great Zippity-Do-Dah Wonderful Day! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BCIfYc9r8s

Wow, I’m tired! Hope you’ve had a good time on your Disneyland Day 1 agenda.
DAY 2 YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK: https://www.virtualyosemite.org/virtual-tour/
There is literally so much to see and do at Yosemite National Park. Check out Glacier Point. Glacier Point is one of the most popular viewpoints in Yosemite and it doesn’t require a long hike to get to it. From Glacier Point you can see many popular landmarks such as; Half Dome, North Dome, Royal Arches, Yosemite Falls, Vernal and Nevada Falls. You can also see the Ahwanhee hotel. You only have to put your browser on the red mark and you will be taken all over the park. Enjoy!
DAY 3 SECRET ANNEX; (ANNE FRANK’S HIDING PLACE)
https://www.annefrank.org/en/anne-frank/secret-annex
This shows the secret annex where Anne Frank and her family hid for 2 years during WWII. This is where she wrote her diary. After viewing this virtual tour it will make you want to visit in person. You can imagine what it must of felt like to hide in this small space, and have to be absolutely quiet during certain hours, your life depended on it.
DAY 4 TODAY WE GO TO DISNEY WORLD, FLORIDA
Our first stop will be Frozen Ever After! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8OHP9OriMA What’d you think?
Now to just relax, and feel calm it is on to It’s A Small World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tbm4Au3dZ0 Didn’t you just feel the stress melt away?
My favorite in this park is The Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWbWghpV0Q8
The newest ride that was open only about a week before Disney had to shut down, was Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride. Check it out, it’s brand new, see how Goofy, Mickey & Minnie navigate the Runaway Rail! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ0XHx_Q2hE
You can check out the rest of the Disney Rides here at this website: https://thepointsguy.com/news/virtual-disney-rides/
You can visit all of the Disney Theme Parks at The Points Guy virtual disney rides site. I didn’t know this site existed, but my daughter sent it to me. A lot of the rides are very realistic and make you feel like you are there in the park. I have found this site works best if viewed on a desktop or laptop computer screen. You can always try on a large smart screen TV. I know all the Disney parks are shut down at least until the end of March for now, maybe longer. But I hope this is a way you can bring a little Disney Magic into your life right now and know that Disney is only trying to do their part world wide to protect it’s visitors and staff from the corona virus, but they will be there when this pandemic is over, just waiting to welcome you back to all the real parks.
DAY 5: SMITHSONIAN NATURAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
Okay we’ve had a lot of Fun, so now for a little history. Where else can you get a great education in natural history but the Smithsonian Natural Museum of Natural History? Located in Washington D.C., you will have a great virtual tour.

I hope this blog post has helped you use your imagination and taken a fun and educational Virtual Springbreak Staycation. I hope it may help fill that void of not being able to travel right now, but also has brought you to places that you may consider visiting either again or for the first time when it is once again safe for you to travel.
