From March 6, 2021 through March 10, 2021, I had the opportunity to spend time at the Grand at Moon Palace Cancun. I was there for 2 reasons, one for a Travel Retreat on how I can make my travel business better, and second to tour and take advantage of all the amenities The Grand has to offer its guests.
This is an amazing 5-star resort. This is not just a trip; it is a vacation experience. You start your travel experience by being greeted at the door by the bell boys who have you stand on a sanitizer mat so your shoes can be sanitized. They assist you with your luggage and sanitize that while you are checking in.
They greet you with first a warm towel, and then a flower and that just speaks “Welcome, we’re glad you’re here.”
While you are checking in, they bring you a cool, refreshing drink, with cucumber and a fruit combination that quenches your thirst, there is no alcohol in it.
When you are finished checking in, you go back out to the bell area and give them your luggage ticket, you have your bracelet that acts as your contactless entry key.
Your bell boy then has you get in his golf cart, loads your luggage and takes you to your room on the golf cart. All the while pointing some points of interest during the ride. He shows you how to use your bracelet for your key and brings your luggage in for you, shows you how to use the lights, etc. He also gives you directions on how to get back to the main lobby or points out the nearest golf cart stop if you would like a ride instead of walking.
Your suite is luxurious with marble floors and a step-down jacuzzi tub. The ensuite is marble as well, with double sinks and a walk-in shower. You have shutters that can open from your ensuite to the main room or close off for privacy.
You have your own mini-bar that is restocked daily and with a top-shelf liquor cabinet that is included in your all-inclusive price.
The top shelf liquor is the top name brands, and yes it is included in your all-inclusive price! You have a mini-refrigerator that is stocked daily with bottled water, fruit juices and sodas/beer. In that drawer are snacks, cookies, coffee for the expresso maker, so if you get hungry help yourself. Room service is available 24hrs/day.
There are 8 swimming pools, a waterpark, non-motorized water sports, you can check out a bicycle and ride on the resort, you have paved paths. Waterpark is included in your all-inclusive price too.
All of the restaurants, the buffet, gift shops, the Boulangerie, the spa, nine pin are located in the Main Building with the main lobby.
